A Dedication: Harbin, My Great-Grandfather, and the Roots of Enduring Good
Enduring Good is dedicated to my great-grandfather. He was an artist and train engineer who was born in Harbin city, China. This book features many elements of both Soviet [extreme-rational-thinking], Siberian and Chinese folklores, mythology and cultures which he greatly enjoyed and told stories about to my grandmother who had passed them down to me - the stories of Harbin [a place where China and Soviet Union met together in one place in 1930’s, producing a unique mixture of Russian and ancient Chinese culture reaching back from the Jin dynasty].
This novel is dedicated to the rational mindset of a brave engineer Dr. Nikulin who wished to build a better world for everyone to help uplift humanity and died for what he believed in.
